Frequently Asked Questions

Which beam lifting gantry crane models do you offer?

Three configurations:

  • Rubber-tyred — 90–900 t, 8–40 m clear span, 10–20 m lifting height. No rails, omni-directional travel and multi-tier stacking.
  • Truss-type — 50–300 t, 20–50 m span, 10–22 m lifting height. Lightweight frame with high wind resistance for coastal and temporary yards.
  • Rail-mounted — 300–500 t, 20–45 m track gauge, 15–40 m lifting height. ISO A6 duty for continuous precast yard logistics.
How do I choose between rail-mounted and rubber-tyred?

Rail-mounted units suit a fixed runway with high-frequency, heavy continuous duty and the tightest travel alignment. Rubber-tyred units suit yards without rails, where the machine has to move between casting beds, storage bays and the load-out point, and where multi-tier stacking or in-place rotation is needed. If the yard layout is still being planned, send it with the heaviest girder and we will compare both options.

How is the crane matched to a precast yard layout?

Four inputs decide the machine: girder length sets the span or track gauge, stacking height sets the lifting height, the travel path sets the turning envelope, and the pavement sets the tyre or wheel configuration. Rubber-tyred units are built with 8 to 64 pneumatic tyres, so the axle arrangement can be matched to the ground bearing capacity of the yard.

Can two cranes lift one girder together?

Yes. Tandem lifting with PLC synchronization is available when a single girder exceeds one machine's rating. The truss-type frame can also be specified with a dual-trolley arrangement. Load sharing is monitored during the lift so neither unit is overloaded.

What wind conditions can the crane work in?

The truss-type frame is specified for level 6 working wind and level 11 non-operating wind resistance, which is why it is often chosen for coastal yards. Other configurations are set to the design wind speed of the project site, and the crane is parked in its storm position above the specified limit.

Can the crane be moved to another yard later?

Yes. The main frame is built from bolted truss sections, so the span can be shortened or extended by removing or adding sections, and the legs, trolley and wheel assemblies separate for transport. Re-erection follows the same assembly sequence as the first installation.

What standards and documentation are supplied?

Structures are designed to FEM and ISO practice and welded to AWS D1.1; electrical panels follow IEC. CE and ISO 9001 certification is provided, together with load test certificates, the operation and maintenance manual, the spare parts list and the electrical schematic.
